Wake up early and drive into Vancouver town to Granville Island, an amazing place of public markets and waterfront views and lovely city life. We have coffee and sit on the dock looking at the city across the water. We head out to CAA (Canadian Auto Association) before heading down to the cruise boat dock and the SHIP!
We are excited and the boarding goes fairly easily. They are organized, seem to do this all the time. A first for us!! We get on board and find our cabin, somewhat small and luxurious to us.
Today they have a huge buffet, on the 11th floor, the size of a large room with stations of fresh pizza, salad, burgers etc., hot mains, Indian food, and soooo much more. We, who are usually on a food and money budget, are excited to see so many well prepared offerings and have food fun!! We don’t know it but this gets bigger and better as the days go on.

The ship is totally luxurious with glass elevators to the outside and to the inside, the 13 story center lobby with textile art hanging in the middle. And Dutch other paintings on the landings of the stairs.

Everyone is required to be on deck for a lifeboat drill and even Myia with wet hair gets in the act.

We head out of Vancouver and into a most amazing sunset that lasts seemingly forever and with a lightening storm back Vancouver way for extra excitement. We soundly sleep in one of the best beds ever.
