We do get up early and head west with the sunrise behind us and into the Canadian Rockies!
Very exciting as the Mountains grow larger and larger with each mile. And they are BIG and straight up. After almost running over a large deer on the freeway and passing a large elk on the side of the road we head to Lake Louise Hotel.
Myia remembers it from a previous trip 30 years ago the most idyllic of places. She is not disappointed. And Gerrit thinks so too. The prettiest place we have seen! But the hotel is not the old fashioned one she remembers! And we are very tired and have a slow day sleeping til noon, gathering info and planning our day tomorrow.
